In celebration of the World Wetlands Day on Feb. 2, we recognize the enormous importance of wetlands and the vital roles that they play for both people and the planet. Wetlands support a wealth of unique biodiversity including amphibians, mammals, fish, dragonflies, and birds many of which have unique adaptations to their watery environment.

Today, he’s a body builder champion. “In high school, my weight was too low, and I was very small,” says Mohammad Abdullah Al Darwish. “Some of the boys would bully me. Mirza Ahsan Saleem weds Kinza Akram on December 13, 2022 in Karachi. Ahsan Saleem is the son of Mirza Saleem Baig who is an ex-employee (#75472) of the Medical Services Organization, Ras Tanura Saudi Aramco.
Chemical engineer Yasir Ahmed Shaikh, son of Saudi Aramco retiree Manzoor Shaikh (#72818), and Simrah Tanveer tied the wedding knot on December 26, 2022. A group of friends from the Saudi Aramco Ex-Employees Association (SAEEA) attended the wedding reception along with their families.

This past week, I have been feeling ever so nostalgic about one particular aspect of Dhahran—its Tandoori House-Olive Garden Restaurant. Housed under one roof, the unique fusion restaurant boasted a menu of Indian, Chinese, and Italian food. Oh, how I miss the food there!

On January 21st, 2023, we arranged a dinner party at our house for celebrations. One was for cousin Talha who was recently married to Namrah. It was also my mother Erum Imran’s birthday the same day and my mami, Samia Siddiqui’s birthday the following day, so we celebrated with our family.
Young Iqbal Ahmed Khan was a bright child. For his family, it was a dream come true when he was admitted to DJ Government Science College Karachi, having secured first division in his matriculation. His one goal was to enter the only engineering college in Karachi: NED Government Engineering College. With further determination, he secured 12th position on the Intermediate Examination administered by the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Karachi which got him into NED College with ease.
