For the fourth time in four years, always around the month of May, our mourning dove returns to our tree and her nest by the side of our RiverWalk West Palm Beach, Florida house. She has laid an egg or two and is now nesting again. We noticed her this past Saturday, May 27th.
She is so cute! We have named her Sunny. We expect her to be with us for about 4-5 weeks as was the case in years past. When our HOA landscapers are around we make sure she is protected from them by pointing her out to them.
Papa Dove also hangs around feeding her daily through rain or shine.
We visit her and talk to her every day. We are convinced that she knows who we are.
