She had an immense impact on animal welfare in Montana, from raising young puppies to teaching young law students how and why they should care about animal welfare, and did so while exhibiting kindness, compassion, and competence in every sphere of her life.

Clare Jones passed away on December 4th after a 10-year battle with dementia. She was in Dhahran from 1981 through 1996 with her husband Bud. During her time there she worked as a telephone operator for Communications, taught stained glass, participated with the Dhahran Theatre Group (DTG), dodged SCUDs, fed troops during the Gulf War and traveled whenever possible.
