Albert William “Bill” Sonntag died unexpectedly on March 24, 2023 after a brief hospitalization following a fall at home. Family and friends are shocked and saddened by his death, which came too soon. He was 53.
Willard Alford Ransom
Willard Ransom (Sonny by most of his friends) passed away on March 21, 2023. He had succumbed to his battle with Alzheimer’s and left us for a better place. We are heartbroken by his departure but are happy to know he is with loved ones in Heaven.

Anne Tyler Cowherd Handy, 95, of Wheelersburg, passed away Sunday, March 19, 2023 surrounded by her family. Anne was born May 31, 1927 at Monteith Farms in Gordonsville, VA, a daughter of the late Roderick Grymes and E. Adelaide Walton Cowherd.
Irene Payne Evans
Irene Payne Evans went to be with the Lord on March 17, 2023. She was born on July 13, 1926, in Preston, Maryland to William Gilbert and Fannie Watkins Payne. Irene grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and attended Girls Commercial High School where she served as student body President her senior year.
John L. Palmer
John L. Palmer died March 16, 2023 after suffering a debilitating stroke on March 1, 2023. John was born December 5, 1937 to parents Manford and Annette Palmer in Exeter, NH. John spent his childhood years in Newbury, MA, attended The Governor's Academy and subsequently received his Bachelor's Degree from Harvard University and his Master's Degree from Rutgers University.
Carol Sue Swepston
Carol Sue (“Suki”) Swepston (Tarr), 87, from Mount Vernon, Ohio, died peacefully on March 15, 2023, in Englewood, Florida. Suki Swepston was born on February 23, 1936, in Mount Vernon, Ohio, where she spent a happy childhood with her mother, Freddie Tarr, a teacher, and her father, Roger Tarr, a dentist.
Robert Edward Moyer
Robert (Bob) Edward Moyer, 81, of Russellville, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 11th, 2023, surrounded by his loving wife Beth and son Michael at his home in Bend, Oregon. He will be remembered most for his heartwarming smile, kind nature, keen intellect, and wry sense of humor as the patriarch of the Moyer family.

He grew up in a modest house where he lived with his brother Ron, his parents, uncles Joseph and Andrew, and his maternal grandfather.

Michael E. Sterner
Ambassador Michael E. Sterner died at the age of 94 on February 15, 2023, in Washington, D.C. He suffered a stroke in late December 2022, from which he never fully recovered. Michael Sterner was a career United States diplomat for 25 years.
