The family of Ghazi Mahfouz Nassar announce his passing on July 31, 2023 after a long battle with heart disease. Born in Jaffa, Palestine and a refugee from the 1948 Arab Israeli war, Nassar went to college in Cairo, Egypt and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Economics at the American University of Cairo.

Surrounded by loved ones, William Michael Kirk (Mike), age 82, passed away July 22nd, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. He was born on March 02, 1941, in Bonham, Texas. He graduated Denison High School in 1959 where he was a member of the football team.

G. Wayne Laepple, of Lancaster, died on July 10, 2023. Born in Philadelphia on July 12, 1947, to George J. and Susan E. Laepple, he lived there until 1954, when the family went to Ras Tanura, Saudi Arabia, where his father was employed by the Arabian American Oil Co. (ARAMCO).

Willa "Dean" (Brakefield) was born on October 23, 1932 near Yukon, in Canadian County, Oklahoma, and passed on July 5, 2023, at her home in Moore, Oklahoma. “Dean,” as she was known to friends, was raised on a dairy farm near the West Point Church and graduated from Yukon High School in 1951 as the class Valedictorian and captain of the girl’s basketball team.
