The King Abdulaziz Center for World Culture (Ithra) welcomed more than 90,000 visitors to celebrate the 92nd Saudi National Day. Visitors were charmed by the National Day Moment on Friday and Saturday, with artists Muath Bugnah and Joury Kattan embracing the sky on the elevated stage which was suspended as high as the Ithra building to perform a collection of national songs for the enthusiastic audience.

Sander joined the California Arabian Standard Oil Company (CASOC), an affiliate of the Standard Oil of California (SOCAL, today's Chevron Corporation), which later (in 1944) became the Arabian American Oil Company, that is ARAMCO. Nestor was sent as a junior geologist for his first assignment to Saudi Arabia. That was before World War II started and much before the country became known as the major worldwide oil producer.
Larry M. Hamilton Passed Away
Larry M. Hamilton, 69, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010, after a long battle with Alzheimer's. Larry was born Nov. 15, 1940, in Alton, Illinois, to Marvin and Eleanor Hamilton. He grew up in Illinois, but had the opportunity as a young man to travel many parts of the world, including Saudi Arabia. He was a graduate of Ras Tanura in 1956. Marvin was Superintendent of Recreation in Ras Tanura, and later in Dhahran, for Saudi Aramco.

Guy was born on November 25, 1926, in Amarillo to Guy Everett Smyth and Evelyn Pitts Smyth. Lying about his age, he joined the Navy at the age of 17 to serve his country during World War II.
