Edward Beadle Stecher
Edward Beadle Stecher, 87, of 137 Rhett Court, husband of Frances McCutcheon Stecher, died Sunday, March 14, 2010 at Self Regional Medical Center. Born in Philadelphia, PA, he was a son of the late Erskine Peglar and Elizabeth Shank Stecher. He was retired from Aramco and served in the US Army 101st Airborne Division during World War II, where he received three bronze stars and a victory medal.

Our beloved, Mac passed away on July 27, 2023 at the Department of Veterans Affair in Topeka, KS. He was 98 years young. He was born May 16, 1925 in Comanche, Oklahoma to Robert Lee and Christine Coffey – McFatridge. He served during World War II as an auto mechanic and a rifle expert under General Patton.
Saudi Aramco Recognized as a Leader in the Fourth Industrial Revolution
Saudi Aramco’s Uthmaniyah Gas Plant (UGP) has been recognized by the World Economic Forum (WEF) as a “Lighthouse” manufacturing facility, a leader in technology applications of the Fourth Industrial Revolution. Saudi Aramco is the first energy company globally to be included in this select group of manufacturing sites. The plant is also the only facility in the Middle East to be recognized by WEF. The announcement was made ahead of WEFs Annual Meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

The Aramco Retiree Golf Group held their eighth overall and first 2023 event in Ponte Vedra, Florida at the Sawgrass Marriott Golf Resort & Spa, March 27-31, 2023. It was a fun-filled 5-days of activities including four rounds of golf at TPC Sawgrass Stadium and Dye’s Valley courses, World Golf Village Slammer & Squire, and King & Bear golf courses.

Saudi Aramco concluded the 12th International Petroleum Technology Conference (IPTC), the largest international oil and gas conference, which took place in Dhahran, Saudi Arabia. Saudi Aramco, a world-leading integrated energy and chemicals company; and LANXESS AG, a leading German specialty chemicals company, announced today the completion of Saudi Aramco’s acquisition of LANXESS‘s interest in ARLANXEO Holding B.V., a Netherlands-based specialty chemicals joint venture between Saudi Aramco and LANXESS launched in 2016. All relevant authorities have granted approvals for the transaction which was first announced in August 2018.

Desiree Adams announces the birth of her second granddaughter, Brynlee Jade Manasco. Desiree reports, "She came into this world on March 14, 2019, weighing in at 8 lbs. 14 oz. Her big sister, Jordyn Blaire Manasco, who will be 4 years old on November 20th, couldn’t wait to meet and hold her."

Vasiliki (Billie) Yiannakakis passed away on Sunday, March 21, 2010. She was born in Andros, Greece in 1932. Billie’s family immigrated to United States after World War II. She was a farm girl in Southern Illinois until she met her husband Manoli. Together they spent 27 years in Saudi Arabia.

Aramco, Sinopec, and SABIC Expand Refining and Petrochemical Cooperation
Aramco, China Petroleum and Chemical Corporation (“Sinopec”), and SABIC are exploring collaboration across refining and petrochemical projects in China and Saudi Arabia. Aramco and Sinopec, one of the world’s largest energy and petrochemical corporations, have signed heads of agreement for a greenfield project in Gulei, Fujian Province, which plans to include a 320,000 barrels-per-day refinery and 1.5 million tons-per-year petrochemical cracker complex.

Saudi Aramco signed a shareholder agreement with Lamprell plc (“Lamprell”), the National Shipping Company of Saudi Arabia (“Bahri”), and Hyundai Heavy Industries Co.
