Larry Haren Passes Away

Larry Dale Haren, age 59, Gray, Tennessee, died unexpectedly Monday, May 23, at Johnson City Medical Center Hospital. He was born in Johnson City, Tennessee. He was the son of Joy Jenkins Haren and the late Dale Haren.

Mr. Haren was a computer systems analyst and had recently retired. He was a post graduate of ETSU and had served in the Navy. He was a deacon at Hales Chapel Christian Church and a member of Gray Volunteer Fire Department. In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife, Cecilia, of the home; 1 daughter, Elizabeth Haren; 1 son-in-law, Ted Shelton Jr.; 1 sister, Wren Haren; several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family will receive friends Thursday evening from 5-8 p.m. at Crossroads Christian Church, 1300 Suncrest Dr., Gray, Tennessee, with services to be held at 8 p.m. with Minister Clinton Andrews officiating. Graveside services will be held Friday 1 p.m. at Monte Vista Cemetery.

Larry Haren worked at the EXPEC computer center in the early 80s until his retirement and was once a member of the Simulated Sports Society.
