Jack Wesley Talley

Jack Wesley Talley, 90, a native son of Houston, passed away on June 2, 2016 at his home surrounded by loved ones. Jack was a WWII veteran joining the Navy as a fireman. After the war he joined the Houston Police Department and was a member of the department's first cadet class. In 1954 he seized the opportunity to become Director of Security for Aramco Oil in Saudi Arabia. Upon his return to the states he rejoined HPD and served as a Detective until his retirement in 1970. Jack then obtained a Real Estate brokers license and practiced in Texas and Colorado. During this time he helped longtime friend Dwane Jackson and others build the Church of the Agape Outpost in Breckenridge in 1983. Jack enjoyed his family and deeply believed in his devotion to same. He was most content in a boat or when gathered around a campfire with loved ones. His fondness for a good story or practical joke was legendary. Jack was also a member of Northwest Masonic Lodge 1434 in Klein.

He is survived by his daughters Jacquelyn Wells and Rhonda Talley and son in law Terry Wells. Also grandchildren Heather Kufchak, Sarah Hutcheson and Raven Lupone as well as five great grandchildren. Also survived by sisters Shirley and Molly, and brother Marvel. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister Margaret and brothers Michael and Corky
