Hugh M. Gelston
The company has been notified of the sudden passing of Hugh M. Gelston, former Aramco employee, in Beirut, Lebanon, on Sept. 15. He transferred from Aramco to Tapline in 1965 and at the time of his death he was coordinator, Materials Supply and Community Services, Turaif. Funeral services were held Sept. 21 in Wantagh, N.Y., at St. Frances De Chantal Church.
Mr. Gelston joined Aramco in June 1950 as a stockman and was assigned to the Materials Supply and Traffic Department in Abqaiq. He was promoted to senior orderman in 1952 and in 1957 was made supervisor, Materials Control Unit. For the next five years he held several acting positions such as assistant superintendent, coordinator, and superintendent. In November 1962 he transferred to Dhahran as superintendent, Commissary, a position he held until his transfer to Tapline.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Asile Des Vieillards, a deserving home for the aged, in Lebanon. Checks may be made payable to Asile Des Vieillards, Furn El Chebbek, and sent to D. J. Fullerton, Tapline, who will forward them to the home in memory of Mr. Gelston.
