Dr. Hussain Hamoud Al-Kaisi passed away Feb. 1, 2007, at Dhahran Health Center. He was born in Baghdad, Iraq, and completed his medical degree in Turkey. He worked in the Ministry of Education before beginning his career with Saudi Aramco as a general practitioner in al-Hasa.

He completed his specialty degree in psychiatry in England in 1972 and joined Saudi Aramco Medical Services Organization (SAMSO) as a staff psychiatrist at the Internal Medicine Services Division. He is considered the founder of the new Psychiatric Services at SAMSO and was chief of Psychiatry Services from 1983-1997.


Dr. Al-Kaisi will be remembered by his colleagues and patients as a man of honor and compassion. He dedicated his life to a mission he believed in and strived to achieve. He is survived by his wife, Muneera Al-Mana; two daughters, Kareemah and Mai; and two sons, Bader and Hamoudi.
