When you perform well in your examinations, it acts as a confidence booster and takes you to the top of this world. Furthermore, it makes your parents and family very proud. This is exactly my feeling sharing the meritorious success of my grandson Shahryaar Mirza who chose the Commerce stream and secured a 97% aggregate in Grade XII, with a 100 percent score in Business Studies (becoming one of the school subject toppers) followed by 99 percent in Accounting.
Shahryaar is the only child of my niece, Lubna Khan, the daughter of my younger brother who stays in the United Arab Emirates for almost three decades now. Lubna is a UAE-based entrepreneur and she herself has been a management student, whereas her husband Shaheer A. Mirza, an Indian National, is an Airline professional having a deep interest in south Asian Affairs & Historical analysis.
With hard work and prayers, Shaharyaar managed to achieve his goal by passing with flying colors and now he aspires to take up ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants) alongside studies in International Business and Operations Management. The ACCA qualification is a highly recognized and globally renowned Accounting Certification. It will also allow Shahryaar to gain additional qualifications (BSc in Applied Accounting and MSc in Professional Accountancy) on his journey to its membership, Insha Allah.

Other than having a key focus on studies and physically playing and representing his school in a number of sports, Shahryaar is an amateur writer for various sports-related platforms. His articles have been published on several sports websites, and one of them was noticed by Indian commentator and journalist, Harsha Bhogle. He has also received replies from renowned cricketing personalities such as Michael Clarke, Dean Jones, Sanjay Manjrekar, Graeme Smith, Simon Doull, and many more.
