Located on a beautiful 1,400-acre mountain campus, Rabun Gap-Nacoochee School is one of the top boarding schools in the United States. Rabun Gap is home to more than 650 students from 56 countries, and serves boarding students in grades 7-12.

Location: Rabun Gap is located on 1,400 acres in the beautiful Northeast Georgia mountains. We are located on a safe, remote campus but are only 90 miles from Atlanta, GA, Asheville, NC, and Greenville, SC.

Learning is active here. Our classic liberal arts curriculum engages skills instruction, preparing students for university and their future careers. We focus on hands-on, applied learning through partnerships with local universities and research organizations, integrated technology, and cross-disciplinary projects. More than 20 Advanced Placement classes are offered. We also have a Teaching and Learning Center that provides peer tutoring, a math laboratory, and learning support. Students enjoy a caring boarding community. Boarding students represent more than two-thirds of Rabun Gap’s population in the Upper School, and more than 80% of faculty live on campus. We create a supportive home-away-from-home where students make friends from around the world. Creativity comes alive in our fine arts program. Rabun Gap is home to one of the only Cirque (circus arts) programs in the U.S. Our award-winning arts program is housed in a state-of-the-art building and offers music, visual arts, theater, dance, and media arts programs. Learn more about arts.

Athletes soar higher. The Rabun Gap Eagles athletic program builds champions. The Eagles won the 2021 state championship in boys soccer and were runner-up in football in 2020. We offer more than 20 teams at the varsity and JV levels, and our high-level coaches with professional and collegiate experience value academics, teamwork, safety, and superior competition.
