Where will a well-grounded education take you?
Intense Academics
Classes are rooted in our College Model Academic Program, which extends the time for intellectual discovery and deepens every student’s experience. The longer (80-minute) classes mean a deeper dive into every subject. Even though students take “only” three courses a semester, they take six core-academic courses a year instead of the typical five.
Experiential Exploration
Outside of class? You’ll find our students digging into 67-plus sports teams, some 25 performing-arts ensembles, and loads of student-led clubs and organizations. All students also contribute to the day-to-day running of the school through their “workjobs,” which meet four hours a week, and over 200 students will engage in ongoing community service.
Exceptional Support
No one at NMH goes it alone. Our Partnership of 12 program provides every student with a support network of adults who make sure students have what they need to succeed. Whether it’s in the dorm, in class, on the field, or on the job, there’s always someone students can connect with and count on.
The Results
Among our 27,000 living alumni, we claim Grammy, Oscar, and Pulitzer Prize winners; U.S. ambassadors and White House senior advisors; and hundreds of notable athletes, educators, humanitarians, and business leaders.
