Peter Carter Speers, Jr. was born and spent his childhood in India, (where his parents were missionaries for forty years), and had lived in Austin from 1981 until February 8, 2010, when the angels hauled him off to bliss everlasting. Peter joined the Arabian American Oil Company (Aramco) while still a graduate student at Princeton, and spent nearly 32 years with the company, many of them in Saudi Arabia.

She was married to husband Paul Nance for 64 years ago. Colleen and Paul moved to Saudi Arabia in 1953, where he worked for Aramco for 31 years.
