William N. Wiersberg
William N. Wiersberg, electric systems operator, Utilities division, Oil Operations, Dhahran died Oct. 31, in New York. Wiersberg left Saudi Arabia, April 7. Funeral services were held in New York, Nov. 4.
Born in Germany Jan. 24, 1901, Wiersberg was educated there in technical schools. He lived in Germany until 1923, when he went to Brazil as a machinist for Artefactores de Cobre. He worked for this organization until October, 1927, when he went to the Newburgh Ironworks, Inc., of Newburgh, N.Y. He worked for a while at West Point and at Consolidated Edison Company, N.Y. City. During World War II he was employed at the New York Navy Yard. He joined Aramco and came to Dhahran Nov. 19, 1946.
Surviving are his widow Mrs. Angela Wiersberg and two sons, William, 23, and Robert, 17.
