William Lund
William Lund, formerly of Ras Tanura who retired from Aramco Jan. 31, 1960 to live in Portugal, died at Cascais Jan. 11, apparently from a coronary occlusion. Surviving Lund is his widow Grace and their son William, Jr.
Lund, who was Materials Controlman, Maintenance division, when he reached retirement age, had worked for Aramco 13 years and eight months, all his tenure being spent in the same division. Born in Copenhagen, Lund went to the United States in 1923 and settled in San Francisco. Other foreign service performed by Lund was in Denmark, Panama and Greenland, where he practiced carpentry.
William, Jr. is a high school student in Rome. He and his mother may be reached at Casa de Lund, Avenida de Sintra, Cascais, Portugal, the home the Lunds built three years ago, pending their retirement, on a hilltop overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. [Photograph]
