Thomas M. Hack
Point Pleasant resident Thomas M. Hack died Saturday, March 14 in his home.
He was 77 years old.
Born in New York City, he was formerly of Staten Island, N.Y., and had lived in Point Pleasant for 40 years.
He was a graduate of Port Richmond High School, Staten Island; Monmouth College; and Brooklyn Polytechnical Institute.
Tom served in the United States Navy during the Korean war and served aboard the USS Vesole completing his military service in the Coast Guard Reserve.
He worked as an electrical engineer and retired from Bell Labs, Murray Hill, and from Camp Evans, Wall Township. He also worked for ARAMCO in Saudi Arabia.
He was an active in the community and was a former member of Rotary International.
He was predeceased by his wife, Doris Boerum Hack.
Surviving to cherish his memory are his daughter, Cheryl Hack, of Point Pleasant; two grandchildren, Dylan and Kylah O’Connor; and other family members.
At 11 a.m., Saturday, March 28, a memorial service will be held at the Pable-Evertz Funeral Home of Point Pleasant, 901 Beaver Dam Road. Relatives and friends are invited to attend.
As an expression of sympathy, donations made to either Boys Town or Covenant House , are suggested.
