Stephen Ephron Frazier
Stephen Ephron Frazier, 78 a resident of Cypress, Texas, passed away early Friday morning, 23 Nov 2018 at his home following a 8 year learning experience with Alzheimer's disease.
Stephen was born in Pocatello, Idaho 11 Dec 1939, the oldest of 3 children of James Ephron Frazier and June Eleanor Rupp Frazier.
He worked his youth and early adult years with his Dad in the family poultry business in the Mink Creek Valley near Pocatello and the hatchery and grocery business in the Alameda area of Pocatello.
He graduated from Pocatello High School and attended 3 semesters at Brigham Young University and then served a mission for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Switzerland and Austria from Jan 1960 to July 1962.
He married Judy Anderson 9 Nov 1962 in the Idaho Falls Temple. In 1967 he graduated from Idaho State University with a major in physics and a minor in math.
He was employed by FMC Corp. in Pocatello until 1977 when he moved to Houston, Texas for employment with ARAMCO Services Company. In 1986 he began work with Rockwell International which later became United Space Alliance USA. He worked on site at Johnson Space Center with the Space Shuttle program until he retired in 2006.
He loved any activity that involved his family and he loved serving the Lord in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. He served as a Bishop in Pocatello, Idaho and in Spring, Texas. He also served on several Stake High Councils, as stake clerk, and in the Houston Texas Temple. He wrote his life history, kept journals, and loved family history work.
He leaves behind his wife Judy of Cypress Texas, 5 sons and 1 daughter and 25 grandchildren. David and Linda, Ryan, Kyle, currently serving in the Detroit Michigan Mission, Alexis, and Nicholas Frazier of Cypress, Texas, Deborah Jentzsch , Jessica French, Amanda and Elisabeth Jentzsch of Burley, Idaho, Jonathan and Aimee, Mollee, Logan, and Kennadee Frazier of Draper, Utah, Timothy and Nola, Nathan, currently serving in the Salt Lake City South Spanish Speaking Mission, Katherine, Caleb and Benjamin Frazier of Hollywood, Maryland, James and Katie, Austin currently serving with the Marine Corp, and wife Madison of Yuma, Arizona, Jordan, Tristian, Kolby Lee, Logan Treloar, Nolan and Elouise Frazier of Spring, Texas, and Daniel and Jennifer, Aaron, Abigail, Rebekah, and Rachael Frazier of Tomball, Texas.
His Mother June Eleanor Rupp Frazier, 98 of Pocatello, Idaho. A brother Michael and Nancy Frazier of North Salt Lake, Utah, a sister Connie Eleanor and Donn Herrick of Weiser, Idaho and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his father James Ephron Frazier.
The Funeral services will be held in Tomball, Texas at the Cypress Stake Center Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints 12310 North Hampton Drive, 77377 on 7 Dec 2018 at 10 am with a viewing before beginning at 9am. Burial will follow at the Carman Nelson Bostic Cemetery
