Scott Steven Jennings
Scott Steven Jennings passed away unexpectedly on 30 October at the age of 66.
Our family was not expecting Scott’s life to be cut so short so soon. We are all devastated by this huge loss and he will be forever missed. He was born with a naturally sweet and kind soul, a heart of gold, a big smile for everyone he met and was always a joy to be around.
He graduated from Angelo State University with a BS in Chemistry and immediately began working in the petroleum industry first in Texas and soon after moved to Bahrain and then Saudi Arabia. He loved the outdoors and never took on a hobby halfway. In his early years he was an avid windsurfer travelling worldwide to find the best locations for that activity. Later his passion changed to big game hunting which he did on every continent except Antarctica.
He was preceded in death by his Mother Sally J. Reibe on February 24, 2008 and Step-father, Horace Reibe who left us on 26 September, 2014. He missed them deeply every single day since then.
He is survived by father and step-mother, James and Jean Jennings, of San Angelo, his son and his wife, Mikel and Lauren Jennings, grandson Grayson, granddaughter Emma, of San Antonio, TX, brother and his wife, Mike and Kay Jennings, of Larkspur, Colorado, brother and his wife, Tim and Cheri Reibe, of Wills Point, TX, half-sister and her husband, Dana and David Lee, of Grandbury, TX and step-sister and her husband, Lee and Bob Powell of Lago Vista, TX
He was also greatly loved and will be greatly missed by the many friends he’d made from high school, college and international work.
We can all find solace in knowing he’s been reunited with his family and friends. What a joyous reunion it must have been for them all.
Arrangements for a Celebration of Life event are set for 11 AM, 14 December 2024 at his ranch near Brady, Texas.
