Sarah Ann Buckley Jones

Sarah Ann Buckley Jones passed away on Wednesday, February 20 at home, after a period of declining health. Sarah was a 1998 graduate of St Pius X High School in Houston, where, blessed with a beautiful soprano voice, she was active in music (Campus Singers). She competed at State level in voice, and participated in numerous drama presentations during high school. She was active as a volunteer in various youth ministries at her home parish, St Rose of Lima, and with husband Stephen was a cantor there for Sunday masses. The two of them had also been volunteer teachers of Natural Family Planning. As a youngster Sarah traveled extensively in Europe, where she became fluent in French, and lived for a time in Saudi Arabia. She was also a diehard fan of the Houston Texans since their inception.

Sarah is survived by her husband Stephen Jones and parents Wanda and Michael Buckley of Houston; brother David Buckley of Denver, Colorado; and birth mother Kim Trimble of Port Arthur, Texas, and her two dogs, Rikku and Tiger. Visitation will be Tuesday, February 26, 2013 from 5:00-8:00 p.m. with the Praying of the Holy Rosary at 7:00 p.m. at Pat H. Foley & Company, 1200 W. 34th St, Houston 77018. Funeral Mass will be Wednesday, February 27, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. at St Rose of Lima Catholic Church, 3600 Brinkman, Houston 77018. Burial will be at Brookside Memorial Park.
