YOUNGSVILLE (Lousianna)- Funeral services will be conducted for Mrs. Bob Scott Sr., the former Renée Price, 56, at 10 a.m. Tuesday, May 17, 2005, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Youngsville. The Rev. Louis Lam Vu will be the celebrant. Interment will be held privately at a later date.
Visiting hours will be held from 5 p.m. until 9 p.m. today, from 1 p.m. until 9 p.m. Monday, with a rosary service held at 7 p.m., and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until time of services.
A native of Lake Charles and a resident of Broussard, Mrs. Scott died at 2:15 p.m. Wednesday, May 11, 2005, at Crossroads Community Hospital in Mount Vernon, Ill.
Renée was a loving, caring, generous and understanding wife, mother, sister, daughter and grandmother. She was an avid motorhome enthusiast and spent some of her happiest times traveling with her husband, best friend and love of her life, Bob. She loved working in her gardens and keeping in touch with all those who enriched her life.
She was also an international traveler and lived in Saudi Arabia for nearly 20 years with her husband. She loved visiting foreign lands, but she always enjoyed coming home more. Renée also loved the Gulf of Mexico, as an adult and as a child. She shared many wonderful stories with her family of the times spent enjoying the gulf and its beaches.
She is survived by her husband of 37 years, Bob Scott Sr., of Broussard; two sons, Brian Troy Scott, of Broussard and Robert Scott Jr. and wife, Jennifer, of Austin, Texas; her daughter, Natalie Renee Scott Johnson and husband, Billy, of Lafayette; four grandchildren, Savannah Scott, Bobby Scott III, Abby Scott and McKenna Troy Scott; her niece, Danielle Hamilton and husband, Jon, of Dallas, Texas; her mother, Catherine Price Melancon and husband, Raymond; two sisters, Cathy Sonnonstine and husband, Terry and Claire Price; two brothers, Ernest Price Jr. and wife, Becky, and Daniel Price and wife, Melinda; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Scott was preceded in death by her father, Ernest Price Sr.; and grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Lewis Mayeaux and Mr. and Mrs. James J. Price Jr.
Pallbearers will be her sons, Robert M. Scott Jr. and Brian T. Scott; Billy Johnson (her son-in-law), Bobby Scott III (her grandson), Max, Seth and Kyle Sonnonstine, Brandon, Austin and Jonathan Price, Duane, Seth, Troy, Barry, Noah and Nash Scott, Jacob and John Munnerlyn, Casey Munnerlyn, and Brooks Ami and Jeramy Hosley.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations may be made to St. Anne's Catholic Church Building Fund, 201 Church St., Youngsville, LA 70518, or to a charity of choice.
