Orry Jordan LaCroix
Orry Jordan LaCroix, of Aurora, Colorado, passed away on the morning of January 3rd, 2024, peacefully at home in his sleep. He was 32 years of age. Orry was born in Austin, Texas on January 28, 1991, to his parents Pierre LaCroix and Audrey Ann Campbell.
As a child, Orry spent the first seven years of his life in The Woodlands, Texas, with his older brother Jarret Williams, and his younger brother Trey LaCroix. In November 1998 his family moved to Dhahran, Saudi Arabia in the Eastern Province, residing on the Aramco family compound. After completing ninth grade, he attended boarding school at the Forman School in Litchfield, Connecticut from which he graduated. After a few years living in Houston and attending Lone Star College, he moved to Denver and joined the Army National Guard, where he married Lindsey (Leischner).
Orry attended basic training for the Army National Guard in 2015 at Fort Sill, Oklahoma. After basic training, he attended the Unmanned Aerial System Repair School at Fort Huachuca, Arizona. Upon completion, Orry was assigned to Buckley Space Force Base in Aurora, Colorado. Orry became a 15 ERQ-7 Unmanned Aerial Vehicle Mechanic, where he achieved the rank of Sergeant, and received the following service accommodations: The Army Achievement Medal; Army Reserve Component Achievement Medal (3rd); National Defense Service Medal; Army Service Ribbon, and Basic Aviation Badge.
While living in Dhahran, Orry was an active member of the Boy Scouts (Life rank, and participated in several sports including baseball, soccer, skiing, golf, and ice hockey. He traveled to several countries with his family and made many lifelong friends around the world.
Orry was a loving and caring young man, often assuming the role of caregiver to many who sought emotional support and guidance during difficult personal events. His good-hearted nature and responsibility to others made him loved and admired by those who touched his life. He was a Texas gentleman.
Orry was preceded in death by his mother, Audrey Ann Campbell. Orry is survived by his wife Lindsey (Leischner) of Decatur, Illinois, his father Pierre LaCroix (Jo) of Bend, Oregon, his brothers Jarret Williams (Kevann) and Trey LaCroix, and niece Parker Williams and nephew Hardy Williams, all of whom live in Houston, Texas.
