Norman D. Derringer, 87, of Florence, SC, died on Sunday, August 9, 2015, at Carolinas Hospital System. He was born in Tampa, Florida, a son of the late Edward and Nellie Hustwick Derringer. He is also predeceased by his first wife, Helen G. Derringer.

Norman was an ordained Baptist minister and was a member of Hopewell Presbyterian Church where he served as an Elder. He was a member of the Hopewell Men's Club. He worked in Cathodic protection for Aramco in Saudi Arabia. Norman worked in aircraft paint maintenance for Air Asia in Taiwan as well as for Eastern Airlines.

He is survived by his wife, Jackie O. Derringer; children, Debra Furlow, Denise Corriher and Dennis Derringer; step-daughter, Robin Hewitt; step-son, Charles Oliver; five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Hopewell Presbyterian Church, 5314 Old River Road, Florence, SC, directed by Cain-Calcutt-Stephens Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the church immediately following the service.
