Mohammed Yusuf Butt
Mohammed Yusuf Butt, administrator of the Crude and Gas Products Division, Financial Accounting Department, died suddenly in his sleep yesterday at his Dhahran residence. He was 49 years old.
Mr. Butt, who was well-known to his friends and colleagues as "Joe Butt," joined Aramco as a file clerk in August 1954 and was assigned to Engineering. In November of that year he was transferred to General Accounting where he became an oil accounting clerk in 1957 and held various positions until his promotion in 1972 to accountant, Royalty and Offtake. He worked as an accountant in Special Assignments and Producing and Refining during the next five years. In 1978 he was named supervisor, Petroleum Accounting, a post he held until his promotion to his most recent position in May of this year.
Surviving Mr. Butt are his wife, Khalida, and three sons: Sameer, 11; Adil, 6; and Fowzy, 3. Mr. Butt's family may be contacted at Q-60/2 P.E.C.H.S., Karachi, Pakistan. [Photograph]
