Marylou Chism Doody
Marylou (Chism) Doody, 80, of San Jose, passed away May 24, 2005. She was born in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, in 1925, and moved with her family to Berkeley, CA, in 1941. After her marriage to her late husband, David Doody, in 1946, they lived with their three sons in Saudi Arabia, where David worked for ARAMCO from 1949 to 1962. On their return to San Jose, Marylou earned an Associates Degree in Education and worked at Lakewood Elementary from 1971 to 1992.
She is survived by her son, Joe, and his wife, Linda, of Los Gatos; her son, Bob, his wife, Patricia, and their children, Rochelle, Maurice and Robert Glen, of Redwood City; her son, Tom, and his wife, Julie, of Austin, TX; her sister, Monica (Chism) Stockwell, of Lompoc; as well as a loving extended family and many close friends.
A memorial service celebrating Marylou's life will be held on Friday, May 27, 2005, at 12:00PM at Sunny View Manor, 22445 Cupertino Road, Cupertino, CA.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that any donations in Marylou's memory be sent to the Alzheimer's Association, 2065 West El Camino Real, Suite C, Mountain View, CA, 94040-2217.
