Margaret "Peggy" Coughlin, 83, of Manlius, died August 19, 2011, Friday at Loretto. Born in Bronxville on September 23, 1927, the daughter of Albert and Edith (Agnew) Tait, she was a graduate of Syracuse University School of Fine Arts in 1949. Peggy lived in Saudi Arabia, working for Aramco Oil for two years, before returning to Syracuse to work for Bristol Labs. She married P. Richard Coughlin in 1957, and they settled in Manlius, where they raised their family. Peggy was a homemaker and later a well-known Realtor in the Manlius area. She was active in Sigma Kappa Sorority and was a longtime volunteer for FISH. She was devoted to Fayetteville-Manlius Schools, sports and PTA. Surviving are her children, Rick (Mary Bilbo) Coughlin of DeWitt, Cynthia (Tom) Becker of Avon, CT, and Brian (Jenny) Coughlin of Cazenovia; her sister, Mary L. Cordes, and brother Albert E. Tait Jr., both of Cazenovia; and seven grandchildren. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place 9:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. James Church in Cazenovia. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery. Calling hours will be 4 to 7 p.m. Monday at Tait Funeral Home, Inc., 2333 Fenner Road, Cazenovia.
