Larry M. Hamilton Passed Away
Larry M. Hamilton, 69, passed away on Saturday, July 24, 2010, after a long battle with Alzheimer's.
Larry was born on November 15, 1940, in Alton, Illinois, to Marvin and Eleanor Hamilton. He grew up in Illinois, but had the opportunity as a young man to travel many parts of the world, including Saudi Arabia. He was a graduate of Ras Tanura in 1956. Marvin was Superintendent of Recreation in Ras Tanura, and later in Dhahran, for Saudi Aramco.
Larry went on to graduate from Bradley University. He owned Hamilton's CarCare in Arlington for over 20 years.
He was an avid golfer and a longtime member of Great Southwest Golf Club. Larry had a great sense of humor, bringing smiles and laughter to all with whom he made contact.
He had a great passion for cars, an endless love for animals and a deep appreciation of beautiful things.
Special thanks to his caregivers, our first angel, Burnell West, the staff at Autumn Leaves of Arlington and Vitas Hospice, especially Liz, Katy, and Shaffina for their wonderful care.
Larry was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by loving wife, Vicki; son, Scott and wife, Denice; daughter, Shaya; grandchildren, B.J., Brittany, Tiffany, Allison and Katelyn; and dogs, Cammie and Spot.
