John Lucas Tichy
John Lucas Tichy, Age 82, born in Allentown, PA, passed away on November 26, 2020. He grew up and attended public school graduating from Allentown Highschool in 1955. He then started working for Purolator for a brief time, and then joined the US Air Force at 17yrs old, he trained at Samson AFB in NY, attended electronic tech school at Keesler AFB in MS. and spent 4 years at Tindall AFB in FL, tending to maintenance of radar and computer systems. John was Honorably discharged in 1959. He decided to go to college and admitted to Lehigh University. He received a BS in Electrical Engineering, his work history included: Goodyear Aerospace, Chrysler Space division, Chrysler Engineer Center, and Saudi Aramco Oil Co.
He married Joanne Novak between his junior and senior years in college. They had 2 sons John and Chris. John "Jay" who passed away in 1998 and Christopher "Chris" who resides in Palmetto FL. A Christian burial and memorial mass will be held at St. Thomas More Catholic Church and Mary's Memorial Garden in Sarasota FL, on Monday, January 11, 2021 at 10am.
