James K. Christensen
James K. Christensen, who departed on early retirement last February, died on Sept. 28. He died in Houston, Tex., where he had gone to take up a new post as education director for the National Association of Corrosion Engineers.
Mr. Christensen held BA and MA degrees from UCLA and UC at Berkley, and he worked as counselor for the San Diego city schools for the nine years preceding his arrival in Dhahran in September 1959. First assistant principal at Dhahran School, he later moved to administrative work in the company's Industrial Training Centers, serving as principal of both the Dhanran and Ras Tanura ITCs. More recently he had been in the General Office area of the Training Department as staff advisor, Continuing Education, and just prior to his departure he was advisor in Dollar Personnel.
Survivors include Mr. Christensen's grown son and daughter and his widow, the former Helen Bard, an Aramco Law Department secretary before the couple's marriage in November 1975. Mrs. Christensen's address is 58 Bendwood Dr., Sugar Land, Tex., 77447.
