James Billy Russell

James “Jim” Billy Russell, 81 of Van Buren, Arkansas entered into rest on Friday, October 18, 2013 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was born May 5, 1932 in Natural Dam, Arkansas, the son of the late James and Rena Russell. He was a retired Material Supervisor after 15 years of service to Aramco Oil Company, in Saudi Arabia, a Van Buren School Bus driver for 10 years, a member of First Assembly of God in Van Buren, a Mason and member of the Adkar Lodge 555 in Tulsa, Oklahoma, an R.V. Maps Volunteer for 9 years. Preceded in death by 10 brothers and sisters and his first wife and mother of his children Mavis. Survivors include wife of 26 years Mila, daughter and son in law, Donita and Kevin Round of Rowlett, TX, two sons Danny and wife Alessandra Russell of Plano, TX and Dr. Barry Russell of Sacramento, CA, sister, Evelyn Swartz of Tulsa, OK, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. Funeral service will be held 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at First Assembly of God in Van Buren with interment at Hall Cemetery in Natural Dam, Arkansas. Pallbearers will be Jonathan, Phillip, Matthew and Vernon Russell, Brian Nye and Larry Jones. Family will receive friends 5:30 p.m. 7:30 p.m. Monday at Lewis Funeral Chapel, Fort Smith. Viewing will begin 9:00 a.m. Sunday. Memorials may be made to First Assembly of God Church in Van Buren, Arkansas.
