Isa Khalil Farhud
Isa "Ike" Khalil Farhud, age 92, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2022 surrounded by family. Isa was born in Ramallah, Palestine and had a successful career with the Aramco Oil company before immigrating to the United States in 1956 and settling in Jacksonville, Florida.
He attended JU and pursued a drafting degree before marrying the love of his life, Muna Cadoura Farhud with whom he celebrated 60 years of marriage. He had a long career in furniture sales before owning several other businesses, including a convenience store and sandwich shop. In retirement, he enjoyed a part-time career of 30 years at Proctor Ace Hardware on University Blvd, where he enjoyed helping customers with their home projects. There is nothing Isa loved more than spending time with his family, grandkids and great-grandkids. Isa was a member of the St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church and a lifelong member of the Ramallah American Club of Jacksonville.
Isa was preceded in death by his parents Khalil and Jameeleh Farhud, as well as his brothers Elias (Zareefeh), Naser (Dalal) and his sisters Nijmeh Daoud (Yousef), Asma Khoury (Butrous). He is survived by his wife Muna; daughters Munisa Ghannam (James), Julie Groth (Jim, dec.), Paula Rukab (Robert), Angela Farhat (Peter); grandchildren Natalie (Patrick), Amanda, Matthew, Brandon, Blake, Brett, Kelly (Anthony), Erika, Alex, Emily and Katherine; great-grandchildren Brayden and Hudson; and many nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Thursday July 14, 2022 at 10am and the Funeral service at 11am at St. George Antiochian Orthodox Church located at 6300 Bowden Rd. with a burial service at Oaklawn Cemetery located at 4801 San Jose Boulevard.
