Dorothy Hartshorne Sacco
Dorothy Hartshorne Sacco, former first grade teacher in the Abqaiq School, died June 7 in Montreal, Canada. The former Miss Hartshorne arrived in Abqaiq in 1966 and departed last year to make plans for her wedding to Ross Sacco, who was in Saudi Arabia with International Bechtel Builders, Inc. The couple was wed last Feb. 20 in Pinellas Park, Fla., where the bride's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Harold Hartshorne, had established their retirement home.
A graduate of Trenton State College, Mrs. Sacco did graduate work at Emory University and became a specialist in education for the deaf. She taught for two years in the Seminole School in Tampa, Fla., before joining Aramco. In addition to her school activities, she is remembered in Abqaiq as a member of the Fellowship Choir. Following her marriage, Mrs. Sacco lived for 10 weeks in Malta, while her husband was employed in Libya, and at the time of her death the couple had just returned to visit Mr. Sacco's parents in Canada.
