David Lee "Dave" Steinheimer
David Lee "Dave" Steinheimer, 85, died Sunday, Jan. 24, 2016 in St. Petersburg following a long battle with cancer. He is survived by his wife of almost 59 years, Dorothy; his children, Carol, Jane, and Richard; as well as his sister, the Reverend Jo Anne Wright. He attended the University of Arizona and received a degree in civil engineering in 1951. After graduation from college, Dave spent three years as a naval officer. He then went to work for the Arabian American Oil Company in Saudi Arabia. His career with Aramco lasted almost 30 years and he became the Vice President of Industrial Services. He retired to St. Petersburg in 1986 with Dorothy where he enjoyed waterfront living, boating, traveling, reading, and investing in the stock market. He was a member of the Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. Dave was a generous and loving husband and father and will be dearly missed. A visitation will be held Friday, Jan. 29, from 12-1 pm at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 1600 54th Ave. S., St. Petersburg. A Funeral Mass will follow at 1 pm. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Catholic Charities Diocese of St. Petersburg, 1213 16th St. N., St. Petersburg, FL 33705.
