David D. Pletsch

David D. Pletsch passed away January 25, 2023. He was the son of the late Howard H. and Clara M. (Shaff) Pletsch.

David graduated from Smyrna High School in 1963. He was a proud member of the Delaware National Guard. After numerous night courses, he was employed by Reichold Chemical Co., Aramco Oil (in Saudi Arabia) City of Dover Power plant and Duke Energy as an Instrument Technician. "Uncle Dave", which he was lovingly referred to by everyone he came in contact with had varied interests. Dave enjoyed spending time with his fellow members of the Dover Elks Lodge, watching his family and friends play tennis every Sunday, cheering on the Philadelphia Eagles and spending time with his family on "The Compound".

Besides his parents, Dave was preceded in Death by his brother Howard H. Pletsch, Jr.

He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law, James and Veronica Pletsch; his niece, Kate (Dan) McCarthy; nephew, Tim (Nina) Pletsch; and his four great nephews, Danny, Tucker, Max and Lincoln.

A celebration of Dave's Life will be held at the Dover Elks Lodge on 200 Salisbury Rd., on Saturday, February 4, 2023 from 1pm-4pm where all are welcome to come and share memories of Dave.
