Clyde Polk Jr.
Clyde Polk Jr., 82, of Tampa passed away on August 23, 2017. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Marie Polk; daughter, Anna Hurst and husband Randy of Tampa; grandchildren, John Hurst and Alexandra Hurst; siblings, Barbara Dement, Jesse Polk, Joe Polk, Jerry Polk, and Tony Polk, all of Mississippi; and many other extended family members and friends.
Clyde was born to Clyde Sr. and Elizabeth (King) Polk in Columbia, MS. He left home at 17 to join the U.S. Army in which he was a member of the 82nd Airborne Rangers, Special Forces.
Clyde retired from Saudi ARAMCO as an offshore drilling foreman. Through his service and work, he has seen much of the world. Funeral services will take place at Hawthorn Funeral Home, 167 Hwy 198 E., Columbia, MS followed by a burial at the Good Hope Baptist Church Cemetery.
