Bernard A. Van Landingham
Bernard A. Van Landingham, assistant to the district manager, died unexpectedly in Ras Tanura last Saturday afternoon. Funeral services were held at the Ras Tanura Theater yesterday at 11 a.m.
A native of Black, Ala., Van Landingham attended the Georgia School of Engineering in Atlanta. He joined Aramco in 1946 and worked in Construction until his acting assignment as assistant to the district manager in 1952 and promotion to the full position in 1954.
Van Landingham was a past president of the Ras Tanura Bowling Association and a member of the Ras Tanura Travelers and the Arabian Shrine Club.
Survivors include his wife, Carol Jane, and four children: Timothy Lee, 15, who is attending Campion Academy in Prairie du Chien, Wis.; Jill Marie, 12; Jay Lary, 7; and Gary Ray, 5. His mother, Mrs. B.I. Van Landingham, lives in Black, Ala. [Photograph]
