Audrey Ann LaCroix
Audrey Ann LaCroix, of Dhahran Saudi Arabia, passed away on December 20th, 2010 at the Dhahran Health Center of heart failure. She was 54 years of age. Audrey was born at Henderson Hospital in Abilene, Texas on February 10th, 1956 to the parents of Johnny Campbell Jr. and Ella Virginia White.
As a child, Audrey lived in Abilene and Corpus Christi Texas until 1969, at which time she and her family moved to Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, and later to Al-Khobar in the Eastern Province. She attended boarding school at College du Leman, Switzerland, Zaragosa Spain, and graduated high-school from the International School of Manama, Bahrain.
Audrey and Pierre met in Dhahran in 1982, and were married in the Houston Rose Garden near Herman Park Houston on May 18, 1985. Audrey owned and operated a flower shop during that time named Botanical Accents. The family moved back to Dhahran in 1998.
While living in Dhahran, Audrey was an active member of the Saudi Aramco community, participating as a coach for youth soccer, a Cub Scout Den leader, operated a day-care center, was president of the Garden Group and an entrepreneur of selling arts and crafts items. Audrey loved to travel, shop, and loved being around people. She was a woman with radiant beauty and a wonderful smile.
Audrey was a loving and devoted wife and mother, who blessed all the lives she touched. She is survived by her parents Johnny and Virginia; her husband Pierre; her sisters Perri, Liz and Joni; and her three sons Jarret, Orry and Trey.
A celebration of Audrey's life is set for 3:00 P.M., Saturday, March 26, 2011 in the Chapel at Forest Park The Woodlands Funeral Home.
