Aramco Expats | Jerry Hurych

Our Goal To ensure that all U.S. citizen victims and families get appropriate, timely assistance and care when faced with crises. Preparation

  • Test the warden system and identify secondary communication channels
  • Revise Travel Warnings and draft Messages for U.S. Citizens
  • Hold Town Halls
  • Monitor news reports
  • Update Go Bags
  • Ensure travel documents are valid
  • Communicate with sponsors re: evacuation scenarios
  • Follow advice issued in Messages for U.S. Citizens

In the midst of a crisis, our efforts are devoted to keeping the local U.S. citizen community informed of developments and travel options.

  • Provide information on country conditions, how and where to seek help
  • Recommend U.S. citizens leave the foreign country
  • In extreme conditions when commercial transportation is not available, provide departure assistance, as our resources permit
    • Evacuation costs are ultimately the responsibility of the private citizen - U.S. law 22 U.S.C. 2671(b)(2)(a)

In an evacuation situation, the Consulate can not:

  • Provide transportation assistance to pets
  • Provide in-country transportation services to individuals or specific groups
  • Pay for private citizens evacuation costs
  • Bring friends or relatives who are not U.S. citizens on U.S. government chartered or non-commercial transportation
