Eid ul Adha is also called the Feast of Sacrifice and is the second of two religious holidays celebrated by Muslims worldwide each year. In Pakistan the Eid ul Adha was celebrated on Friday September 25, 2015. All the Muslim Umma was saddened due to the stampede tragedy took place in Mina and over seven hundred innocent pilgrims lost their lives. Saudi Aramco Ex-Employees Association (SAEEA) celebrated Eid ul Adha with mixed feeling as eighteen Pakistani Pilgrims were also included in the seven hundred plus death toll of the stampede tragedy. On the first day of Eid all the office bearers of SAEEA were busy in the process of sacrifice at their homes. All their children and the grand kids came and have their lunch with all the family members.
On the Eid Day SAEEA Joint Secretary Mr. Shafiq Ahmed Khan lost his cousin brother Dr. Saeed A. Lodhi who was working as a Scientist with PCSIR in Karachi. All SAEEA Members are requested to pray for the magfarat of Mr. Lodhi. We all pray to ALMIGHTY to rest his soul in eternal peace, Ameen. The youngest son of Ghulam Qutubuddin Khan Raheel Q. Khan who works in Saudi Arabia surprised the family and came on a short visit to celebrate Eid with the parents. Mohammad Abdul Mateen’s daughter Sumbul also came from Bahrain along with her twin kids to celebrate Eid with the family.
Muhammad Salim Hamid sons arranged a family gathering on the roof top and made a good mutton karadhi cooked on coal flames. SAEEA wishes a very happy Eid Greetings to all Members and wish that all their relatives who went to perform Hajj are safe and sound and going to meet them soon, Insha Allah.
