Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Ali Khan is a NEDian and at present teaching in Temple University, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, USA. He visits Pakistan every other year. He was introduced to NED Social Engineers Trust (NED-SET) General Secretary, Engr. Baderuddin Khan, when he was on a fund-raising Campaign in USA. Dr. Khan arranged a meeting at his place to introduce NED-SET to all of the other engineers in Pennsylvania. Since then we are in communication with him and he is a donor of one of NED-SET School in Tandu Alla Yar in interior Sindh. A school which was named after Dr. Mohiuddin Ali Khan is running successfully for the past two years.
Dr. Khan has over 40 years of experience in bridges and structure designs and he is the author of many books which are used in USA, India and Pakistan. This year we receive a very short message from Dr. Khan that he is in town and busy with the Vice Chancellor of BED University of Engineering and Technology in a research project. As soon as he was free, a dinner party was organized on June 05, 2015 by Air Cdre (R) Shabbir A. Khan, a Founder Trustee of Rashid Memorial Welfare Trust (RMFT). He is also a Trustee of NED-SET as well at the Creek Club Defence Housing Authority. All of the active members of NED-SET were invited. The attendees were as follows:

During the dinner meeting, Dr. Khan wished to visit the school which is named after him. The next morning, Jube 06, 2015, Engr. Baderuddin Khan drove with Dr. Khan to Tando Alla Yar to visit the school. Prof Khan was very happy to see the children and the school. He also met Mr. Ghulam Mohammad Lashari the donor of the land for the school building. Mr. Lashari requested Dr. Khan to expand the school as there are more children wanting to come to school. Dr. Khan promised to build two more class-rooms. He asked NED-SET to prepare a plan of expansion so that we can also build a hall in the future. An expansion plan is under discussion with the experts and soon will be sending to Dr. Khan for approval.
The next morning Prof. Dr. Mohiuddin Khan was a guest of Honor at the Seminar at the Institution of Engineers Pakistan. The seminar was a Half Day Seminar to mark the 45th Anniversary of Earth Day. “Changing Lifestyles - Our Turn to Lead” was held Saturday 25 April, 2015 at 10:00 am at the IEP Convention Centre. The last function Dr. Khan attended in Karachi before leaving for Pennsylvania was a dinner function at the NEDUET on June 02, 2015. The NED Alumni arranged an “Engineers Get Together & Dinner” on June 7, 2015 at the NEDUET Auditorium. Engr. Baderuddin Khan and Engr. Mir Anwer Ali attended the dinner with him. He left Karachi with lots of Sweet Memories. We wish him long life and good health. Philadelphia
