The Executive Committee (ExCom) of Aramco Retirees Association of Pakistan (ARAP) holds its 3rd Quarter 2024 Meeting on July 12, 2024 in Lahore

The Aramco Retirees Association of Pakistan (ARAP)’s Executive Committee (ExCom) conducted its 3rd Quarter 2024 meeting at Idrees residence in Lahore on July 12, 2024. The following were present:

Welcome Note from the President

Idrees welcomed and thanked ExCom members for attending the meeting. It was raining in Lahore and the weather turned very pleasant. Light refreshments matching the pleasant rainy weather were served and fully enjoyed by the attendees. Then, Idrees presented the ARAP Financial Report showing the income and expense details from its launching date till today in addition to the summary expenses of the Eid
Milan event.

Recognition for Contributions to ARAP

The ExCom agreed to recognize Idrees, Mehmood and Sheikh at a future event. Mehmood will be recognized for coordinating the Eid Milan Party. Idrees will be recognized for establishing ARAP, making it operational, developing its by-laws and Website, and connecting people through very effective and timely communication through various platforms. Sheikh will be recognized for making the best fundraising suggestions.

ARAP Fund Raising Campaign

Idrees presented a summary of the ideas received from three ARAP members (Masoor Khan, Amjad Langah and Abdul Waheed Sheikh). He extended his appreciation to these members for sharing their ideas. Each idea was reviewed thoroughly for its relevance to the subject, practicality and possible benefits if implemented. Ideas received from Sheikh were considered the most relevant, practical and the best of all. They were further discussed in detail and a plan of action was developed to do further work on them. The ExCom agreed to nominate Sheikh as the award winner for this campaign. He will be recognized amongst other nominees for other awards in one of the future events.

Intermediate Gatherings/Visits

All members expressed the desire to enhance ARAP gatherings. It was agreed to frequent visits to retirees in Lahore and other areas to boost their morale and stay connected with them. ExCom also agreed to arrange one-dish parties or get-togethers for interested members quarterly and find volunteer members to host such gatherings in Lahore or other cities.

Future Planned Event on Nov 16, 2024

ExCom members are still working on the venue and logistics of the event and will update the members by August 31, 2024. The update will be shared with members through WhatsApp and on the ARAP website: https://sites.google.com/view/arapconnect/home

The ExCom agreed to enhance ARAP’s new membership. Interested Pakistani Ex, Active and/or retired Aramco employees may visit ARAP’s website, select registration, provide the necessary information and submit the form (https://sites.google.com/view/arapconnect/home) to enjoy ARAP benefits.
