Mrs. Ruth Sheldon Knowles on assignment for "Reader's Digest."

Lecturer, Writer Speaks in Dhahran - 1966
RUTH SHELDON KNOWLES, author of the best seller "The Greatest Gamblers -- The Epic of America Oil Exploration," paid a visit to Aramco last week. On a round-the-world information-gathering assignment, Mrs. Knowles toured facilities in Dhahran, including the Discovery Well, Dammam 7.

Mrs. Ruth Sheldon Knowles, author, lecturer, petroleum specialist, and war correspondent, arrived in Dhahran for a four-day stop-over on a round-the-world trip.

She is on an assignment for the "Reader's Digest" making a study of the world hunger problem.

During her visit, she presented a talk ot the members of the Aramco community, under the auspices of the Aramco Employees Association, on some of the aspects of her current assignment.

Mrs. Knowles has just been in Taiwan, Philippines, Vietnam, Thailand, India, and Pakistan, on her third trip on writing assignments around the world in the past three years.

In addition to Vietnam, she has been in such world trouble spots as Indonesia and Castro's Cuba just before the missile crisis.
