I came across an interesting quote by Muriel Wace, “There is no greater pleasure in the world than riding a good horse,” which made me eager to visit a horse-riding club. I then decided to take my grandchildren to Stallion Horse Riding Academy near my home which is located within walking distance in Rethibowli, Hyderabad, India.
My younger grandchild, Hamza Zubair Iftekhar, who is three years old was hesitant to climb onto the horse, so my other grandson, Zaid Shafiqur Rehman accompanied him.
Both my grandsons enjoyed the horse ride. In the meantime, the Director, the equestrian and trainer of the club, Syed Junaid Hussaini, suggested that I learn to ride a horse. He told me there is no age limit. His advice gave me a boost and I began learning.
By focusing on this sport the following benefits will be achieved:

- Relaxing
Horseback riding is proven to be good aerobic exercise.
To learn and practice regularly, I decided to become a permanent member of the Hyderabad Polo and Riding Club (HPRC) situated 14 Kilometers away from Hyderabad.
The HPRC includes a gymnasium, basketball courts, tennis courts and Snaffles Bistro, etc.
Shaik Reaz Ahmed, the Secretary- Admin of HPRC, pictured above, was very helpful throughout the membership process. He has provided a tour of the facility; he has a bird's-eye view of the club operations as well as the plans for developments in the pipeline.
Based on the above advantages, my family made a plan to visit HPRC with relatives and grandchildren.
My granddaughter Kulsum Shoukat, pictured above, is taking riding lessons; the Head Coach is adjusting the saddle.
My son-in-law Shafiq-ur-Rahman, pictured above, is encouraging my grandson Hamza to ride on a pony.
HPRC has a restaurant equipped with a billiard game table. My grandson Sulaiman, pictured below, is enjoying the set-up.

Apart from riding, eating freshly baked cheese pizza was added fun.

For your information on the 12th and 13th of August 2023, the 16th Horse Show will be organized at HPRC.
