A recent request for information was received from Phil Embleton. He writes, "Is there anyone who might be able to shed some light on the history of these two medallions?
"Two weeks ago my wife and I went into Khobar and stopped by a little coin shop. The owner had two Aramco medallions for sale. One says Safety Award and the date 1959. The other is an Award of Merit without a date.
"I’m trying to find out more about Aramco’s safety program in 1959. What was involved? Who was involved? How did it work?
"I hope you can help me solve an Aramco mystery."
