Dr. Najiha Kaiser Alavi
Jinnah Sindh Medical University, formerly known as Sindh Medical College, started on April 7, 1973 after approval of a committee constituted by the Government of Sindh. The University is fully accredited by the Higher Education Commission and the University Grants Commission (Pakistan).The Sindh Medical College achieved University Status on June 2, 2012 and thus became third medical university in Karachi, with the ordinance signed by the Governor Sindh, Ishrat-ul-Ebad Khan, and witnessed by President Asif Ali Zardari at Bilawal House, Karachi.

The Jinnah Sindh Medical University (JSMU) held its 4th Convocation at the Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Centre (JPMC) Ground on Sunday, 18 December 2022 to award degrees to over 630 successful graduates.
Governor Sindh the Chancellor Kamran Khan Tessori, the Chief Guest of the JSMU 4th Convocation, addressed the students.

Dr. Najiha Kaiser Alavi is the daughter of Saudi Aramco retiree Kaiseruddin Ahmed Alavi, Financial Accounting Department, badge number 73895. Kaiser Alavi and his wife Mrs. Salma Kaiser, the proud parents, were present to witness the graduation ceremony of their daughter. She was awarded the degree of Doctor of Pharmacy (PhD).
Najiha's initial education is from Pakistan International School Al-Khober (PISK) after her father's retirement she continued her studies from White House Grammar school, Karachi and done her Intermediate Science from Khatoon-e-Pakistan Government Degree College Karachi. She than joined Jinnah Sindh Medical University, Institute of Pharmaceutical Sciences for 5 years degree program of "Doctor of Pharmacy".

Other sisters of Najiha have also studied from Pakistan International School Al-Khober. The eldest sister Shamaila Kaiser has done her Masters in Mass Communication from University of Karachi, Mahrukh Kaiser has done her MBA from Muhammad Ali Jinnah University, Karachi.
Montaha Kaiser has done her BSC in Occupational Therapy from Jinnah Post Graduate Medical Centre (JPMC), also a Certified Autism Specialist, currently working in Child Will Paediatric Therapy Centre in Al-Khobar, Saudia Arabia.
Eaman Kaiser is currently pursuing her PHD in Centre of excellence for Women Studies from University of Karachi and is teaching assistant at University of Karachi.
