Mansour S. Al Shehri graciously accepted the Carroll H. Dunn Award of Excellence during the CII Annual Conference in Texas in August.
The Construction Industry Institute (CII) presented the Carroll H. Dunn Award of Excellence to Mansour S. Al Shehri, vice president of Aramco’s Downstream Project Management. Al Shehri accepted the honor during the 40th anniversary of the CII Annual Conference in San Antonio, Texas, in August.
CII is a consortium of leading owner, engineering-contractor, and supplier firms. The Institute provides a research and development platform to drive innovative solutions through an academically based approach. CII’s Carroll H. Dunn Award of Excellence honors an individual with significant achievements in improving the engineering and construction industry.
“The award is recognized as one of the most prestigious awards in the industry,” said James Gerbrecht, interim senior director of CII. “Mr. Al Shehri embodies every attribute of a Carroll H. Dunn awardee. He has made significant contributions to the industry, demonstrating his dedication to improving the safety, cost, scheduling, and quality of capital projects.”
Al Shehri has served in several prominent leadership positions, including his current role, where he is responsible for a portfolio of mega-projects, including joint ventures, pipelines, and plants.
“This award affirms Aramco’s commitment to promoting and implementing modern environmental as well as technological and digitalization practices in the Kingdom,” said Al Shehri. “We go through a rigorous process of technology scouting and implementation aided by conducting environmental impact assessments for each project. Empowering our staff to be successful remains key to our achievements.”
Al Shehri has over three decades of professional experience in the energy industry, specifically leading in refining, petrochemical, and process plants arena. He has demonstrated exceptional capabilities in global project management, implementing innovative strategies, technologies and practices that ensure projects are delivered safely.
Al Shehri has also received other recognitions including the “Innovative Project Team” (Hamdan Bin Mohammed Award, Dubai, in 2018), the Top 5 Finalist for Project of the Year (Association of Project Management, U.K., in 2018), and “Best Project Execution” (CII, U.S., in 2017).
