Welcome to Eerde International Boarding School in the Netherlands. Eerde is the only international school in the Netherlands to offer day school, flexible boarding and full boarding facilities. Located on a tranquil country estate only 2 hours from central Amsterdam.
Our most popular program is Pre IB grade 10 level. In this course students will work on IB Diploma projects in miniature, such as writing an Extended Essay, doing TOK style presentations and research projects and developing their ability to think critically, work autonomously and in groups, communicate and research effectively.
The approach towards learning at Eerde allows students to discover their true potential and to empower them to develop personal leadership and life skills. Eerde is the place where a student can learn, live and develop. Due to our small class sizes, we are able to provide every student with the individual attention needed.
Eerde International Boarding School is located on a historic country estate, which provides a rich cultural learning environment for students aged 6 to 18. Students age 12 and older are eligible for boarding.
Eerde delivers an exceptional international study destination with the opportunity to achieve the world-recognized International Baccalaureate Diploma (IBDP) while engaging with students of various nationalities. In addition to the IBDP, Eerde also offers the American High School Diploma and the Cambridge IGCSE.
All classes take place in the modern school building located on the campus, next to the castle.
Campus life at Eerde is culturally engaging and unique. Currently the school population represents over 35 different nationalities creating a diverse international community. The boarding facilities are located on campus in two separate historical buildings with a capacity of 75 students. The West building accommodates female students and the East building is designated for male students. The professional boarding staff members are in residence.
Eerde students benefit from an exclusive partnership with the internationally recognized Rijksmuseum.
The partnership offers Eerde students unique educational opportunities, including workshops, internships, preview of exhibits and exchanges. This enriching experience is enjoyed by students of all grade levels but it is especially beneficial for the IBDP students focusing in visual arts.
Complementing the academic offer at Eerde is a variety of extracurricular activities to enhance each student's “Eerde Experience”. At the end of each school day, students can participate in a range of sports, performing arts, cultural clubs and social activities, allowing them to discover their talents and interests.
In addition, to the traditional extracurriculars, the Eerde equestrian program offers various levels of training possibilities, for interested students ranging from the beginner to the advanced competitor.
Eerde students are provided several academic and service travel opportunities to enhance their educational growth. Over the past few years travel projects have included Portugal, India, Austria, and Norway.

Visa
As a referent for the IND, we can apply for visas for non- EU students for this program (when starting in grade 10). This program is therefore especially suitable for students outside the European Union, to start their academic career early to get the best outcome for the IB Diploma programme.
