William Dayton Alexander
William Dayton Alexander, 98, died on July 3, 2017. William was a native of Englewood, NJ and a graduate of Columbia University. He was a 5-year WWII Army veteran who served honorably in the Air Forces, activated several Control Offices in the U.S. and Europe for Air Transport Command; Major USAF retired.
He and wife, Doreen, raised a family and had an active social and community life in Tenafly, NJ for more than 20 years until 1980, during which time he held corporate personnel management posts in NYC with American Airlines, Aramco and International Paper. They moved from suburbs to a loved country setting in the NY mid-Hudson Valley area for retirement. Divorced in 2003, he moved to McCormick, SC where he lived until his passing.
William is survived by son, Garron, of Pahoa, HI; daughter, Nancy, of West Milford, NJ; and sister, Marilyn, of Margate City, NJ. No services will be held and his final disposition will be private.
