William "Bill" Savage
William "Bill" Savage, age 58, a resident of Colorado Springs and Rangely, Colorado, passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2010 at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs as the result of a sudden heart attack.
He was a safety engineer in health and environmental safety and was a devoted husband.
William Wayne Savage was born on Sept. 4, 1952 in Houston, Texas, to the late Harold and Belva (Ball) Savage. He was a 1972 graduate of Dayton High School in Dayton, Texas and a 1987 graduate of the University of Houston. He served his country honorably in the United States Air Force with a tour in Okinawa, Japan.
He married Donna Lee Savage on April 29, 1977 in Dayton. For many years he was a safety engineer in Abqaiq, Saudi Arabia. He enjoyed WWF wrestling, woodworking, auction and estate sales and car shows. He was an Elvis fan and will be best remembered for the love he gave to his wife, Donna and to his children Emily and Jake and the light of his life, his adorable granddaughter Zoey.
Bill is survived by his loving wife, Donna; his daughter, Emily Savage of Palmer Lake, Colorado; and his son, Jake Lee Savage of Colorado Springs. He is also survived by his mother, Belva Savage; his sisters: Lea Ellen (husband Lee) Burch and Rebecca (husband Brad) Burditt all of Dayton, Texas. Also surviving Bill is his wonderful granddaughter, Zoey Kay Morris.
He is also survived by his mother-in-law Mary Lee Logan of Dayton, brother-in-law Raymond Lee, sister-in-law Rita Lee Dennis, and Rita's husband Delvin of Houston.
Bill's father, Harold Wayne Savage, preceded him in death in June of 2010.
Bill will be missed by his many loving friends and coworkers, both here in the U. S. and in Saudi Arabia.
